The Most Gorgeous View in the State!
I looked at only two outdoor locations for my July wedding, and Alyson's was the winner. The setting is beyond gorgeous, the reception room more than accommodating, and the amount of outdoor space at your disposal...you really can't go wrong here. This place has a stellar reputation, and I found it very easy to plan a wedding here, even doing so from out of state. Fran, who runs the events business here, is very professional, and can offer you as many vendor ideas as you need. An additional bonus is the chance to rent large, multi-bedroom houses right across the street from the Orchard...this comes in very handy if you have family or a group of friends traveling from far away.

Amazing! The Most Perfect Wedding Day!
I fell in love with Alyson's the moment I saw it. Fran was AMAZING -- I cannot say enough about her. Our wedding was at 3:00 outdoors, and at 1:50 the sky turned pitch black and it poured!!!! Fran held off until the last minute to bring the ceremony indoors, and I am SO glad she did. At 3:00 the sky cleared and we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Fran made all of that happen. Alyson's is the perfect wedding spot!

A Perfect Day
From our first visit at Alyson's Orchard, we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. The weekend fee was a little steep for us, and fortunately they offer a mid-week fee which worked out perfectly for us. The on-site lodging enabled us to have most of our wedding guests in one place for the two days preceeding the wedding. We had large meals together and people had the time to get to know one another better. We were running around like crazy with last minute details, of course! Fran, the wedding coordinator, events manager and problem solver extraordinaire, made me feel so comfortable and cared for. She was accommodating in every way. The space is so beautiful with many locations for an outdoor wedding. Fran had recommendations for vendors that turned out to be just what we wanted. Our photos are phenomenal. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We look forward to going back for a family reunion or some other event so that we can wander the grounds, go swimming, pick apples, etc. It's beautiful!

Magical Experience
Alyson's Orchard was a dream location for a wedding. Fran Imhoff, the orchard's coordinator, met with us several times and responded to many emails in the months leading up to our wedding, helping us nail down details and vendors. Everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding, and our family and friends continue to tell us how magical the entire experience was. Thanks, Alyson's Orchard for a beautiful wedding!

We loved it!
Our wedding was amazing! The views were beautiful and we had fantastic weather for October. We stayed Wednesday through Sunday with all of our family and friends since we had the ability to use the on-site lodging. Fran was fantastic and helped us along the way with any questions we had! The kids were able to pick apples & pumpkins and play with the baby goats when they were bored with the adult stuff! I would recommend Alyson's to anyone who wants a true New England wedding!

Amazing moments

We don't even know where to begin to thank you for all you did for our big day on July 11th. It was the most wonderful, magical day of our lives thus far. Even with all the obstacles that arose, we are thrilled with the way everything turned out. The loss of electricity (not your fault) actually lead to some really amazing moments, such as our first dance! Many of our guests have said that our wedding was the best one they have ever been to! Alyson's Orchard Was The Keystone
Dear Fran,
I know we exchanged many words before,
during and after the wedding, but Beth and I just wanted to write again to tell
you how amazing our experience was at Alyson’s. Even after we returned
from the honeymoon, our guests were still talking about what a great time they
had at the wedding.
There were a lot of elements to the
success of our wedding, but Alyson’s Orchard was definitely the keystone of it
all. The reception hall was wonderful, the grounds just gorgeous, and
every one of your staff really made us feel like they took a personal interest
in making sure that our wedding was just the way we imagined it. Homer was very
attentive, Max was a big help with the fireworks, and then there was you.
We really knew that we were tapping into the experience of so many other
weddings because of the time you spent with us answering questions and offering
advice. We felt it made all the difference in the world, and really
allowed us to use the orchard to bring out the wedding we had dreamt of.
Plus, you are just a FUN person! Through the whole process, it was much
more like friends planning a party, than meeting with a vendor.
Thank you so much for having such a
fabulous facility, excellent staff, and thank you personally Fran for helping
us make the perfect wedding we’ll remember fondly for the rest of our lives!

| Question: What is the time frame for a Destination Wedding? |
| Answer:
Alyson’s hosts only one wedding at a time…yours! A
Destination Wedding includes the use of the Event Center on Friday starting at 12 noon
for set-up and decorating; for a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening if you choose to host one in the Orchard Room; on Saturday for an outdoor ceremony (weather-permitting) and a 6-hour reception after the ceremony is over.

| Question: Can I have my ceremony outdoors at Alyson’s Orchard? |
| Answer:
Yes, four breathtaking sites are specifically groomed for
ceremonies, but you can have your ceremony most anywhere on the property. Go to www.alysonsorchard.com and click on Weddings and then Ceremony Sites.

| Question: What happens if it rains? |
| Answer:
Mother Nature will have her way – thus we must all be
flexible. You have the option of renting a tent for the wedding site but we
have learned that a tent is impractical in heavier rain. Experience recommends
that the ceremony be moved into the Orchard Room.

| Question: How many guests can Alyson’s Orchard accommodate? |
| Answer:
The Event Center can comfortably seat up to 250* for dinner.
(* for parties greater than 175 guests, there is a $10 charge per person in
addition to the original site fee.)

| Question: Can I use a caterer that is not on your list? |
| Answer:
No. Our preferred caterers work as sub-contractors to Alyson's Orchard so we request that you choose one of them.

| Question: Is there lodging available at Alyson’s Orchard for my bridal party, family and out-of-town guests? |
| Answer:
Yes, we have three different properties from which to
choose, each one fully equipped and comfortably furnished. There is the
Rochambeau Lodge for large groups (sleeps 18) and the Caleb Foster Farmhouse
has two separate rentals – The East Wing and the West Wing (they each sleep up
to 10 people).

| Question: Is there additional lodging in the area? |
| Answer:

| Question: Will someone from Alyson’s be present for my event? |
| Answer:
Yes, an Event Manager from Alyson’s
will be available throughout the planning process and one will be on-site the
day of the event.

| Question: Is there an alternative to hosting my rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch at the Event Center? |
| Answer:
Provided that you have rented at least the Rochambeau Lodge for the weekend, you might host your indoor gathering of 25 (or fewer) guests there. If you choose to have an outdoor event, you may invite up to 75 guests, but you might consider renting a tent for the evening. Whether it's a BBQ or a catered meal, this is a warm and casual way to celebrate, saving the Orchard Room for the BIG day.

| Question: Are candles allowed at my reception in the Event Center? |
| Answer:
Yes! Three to five votive candles per dinner table add a lot of magic to the Orchard Room! Candles may only be used if the flame is enclosed in glass.
The candle holder must be heat resistant, sturdy and large enough to fully
contain the melted wax. Tapers and candelabras are not permitted.

| Question: Is there abundant parking available for a large wedding? |
| Answer:
Absolutely!

| Question: During the apple picking season, can my guests pick their own apples? |
| Answer:
If you would like that to be part of your special day,
arrange in advance to purchase bags from us to distribute to your guests. (Late
August – October only)

| Question: May we purchase our own beer, wine and liquor for the reception? |
| Answer:
No. Except for use in the lodgings, alcoholic beverages are not to be brought onto Alyson's property by the client or any guest. Anyone found with their own alcoholic beverages on the Orchard property will be asked to vacate the premises immediately, and not allowed to return.
